What is Resveradrol?
Resveratrol was first isolated in 1940 from the roots of hellebore. In 1963, it was then isolated from the roots of Polygonum Cuspidatum, a traditional Chinese and Japanese medicinal plant. Resveratrol did not attract interest until 1992, when it was considered to explain some of the life long consumption cardio protective benefits of red wine. David Sinclair of the Harvard Medical School used it on non-human subjects. The dosage he used on the non-human subjects of his study, is equivalent to about 500mg for each 50lbs of a person's weight. Although this target was optimum in the Harvard study, many folks can take less on a daily basis as studies haven't concluded what the correct dosage would be.
